Located in a town filled with charm and rich in character, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is an acute care hospital and 21 clinics serving communities from the Mendocino coast to Lake County.
In addition to standard acute services, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley has a level IV trauma center, maternity and level II intensive care nursery services, an extensive physical rehabilitation program, outpatient surgery and diagnostic center and an advanced wound care center.
Its network of clinics include primary care and specialty care, from internal medicine, gastroenterology and urology to otolaryngology.

We're looking for someone to join our team as a Nutrition Assistant who:
Provides clinical dietetic services by ensuring the diet ordered by physician is received by the patient.
Assists in clerical duties for Nutrition Services department.
Essential Functions:
Distributes and collects selected menus from patients timely and completely.
Assists patient with menu selection as needed.
Evaluates all food items served to patients for quality and temperature.
Follows all sanitation guidelines regarding food handling including the use of hairnet and hand washing.
Considers age related factors when dealing with patient/guest.
Prepares meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
Prepares required reports and monitors food to ensure high quality.
Delivers dishes and trays at designated times and roomsCleans food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
Discards leftovers and take out garbage.
Stocks ingredients and monitor inventory.
Assists in keeping track of expenses and menu planning.
Helps maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
Monitors and assists in the diet office and kitchen procedures to ensure patient needs are being met, including provision of nourishments and menu selection.
Maintains and stocks patient snack cart and distributes to patients per diet orders.
Maintains high quality, safe food as specified by Nutritional Food Services and all basic food handling guidelines as specified by Local, State, and Federal agencies.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
