Located in a town filled with charm and rich in character, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is an acute care hospital and 21 clinics serving communities from the Mendocino coast to Lake County.
In addition to standard acute services, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley has a level IV trauma center, maternity and level II intensive care nursery services, an extensive physical rehabilitation program, outpatient surgery and diagnostic center and an advanced wound care center.
Its network of clinics include primary care and specialty care, from internal medicine, gastroenterology and urology to otolaryngology.

We're looking for someone to join our team as a Lead Surgery Associate (Outpatient) who:
Supervises scheduling department staff and services.
Oversees hospital and provider service scheduling and pre-authorization processes and functions.
Maintains effective communication between hospital service areas, physicians, clinics and patients.
Schedules, confirms and maintains patient diagnostic appointments, surgeries and medical consultations for specific departments.
Reviews and analyzes cancellations, double bookings or changes in schedules.
Ensures service payment by verifying benefits with insurance companies and discussing financing options.
Essential Functions:
Participates in orientation processes as a preceptor, resource and educator.
Instructs new personnel about job duties and assignments.
Recommends employment termination for supervised personnel and discusses disciplinary actions, when necessary.
Educates staff about updated hospital and clinic service protocols.
Promotes positive relationships with patients, guests, staff, managers and physicians.
Documents and completes annual employee reviews regarding job performance.
Reviews departmental policies and procedures, updating them appropriately to ensure compliance.
Ensures staff performs accurate scheduling and pre-registration, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Collaborates with hospital departments and physician offices to establish scheduling and registration best practices, minimizing barriers to patient and physician access to services.
Establishes communication between patient scheduling, outpatient registration and clinical departments to ensure that processes are efficient.
Promotes positive relationships with patients, physicians and hospital staff.
Maintains scheduling program.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
